More work finished on new gofun doll...

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to share the progress being made on my new gofun doll. You can see now that her head is sanded thoroughly, as well as work on her torso has started as well as on her arms...the torso and arms are just in their rough stages now. (Star is for modesty!) I will post more pictures as I have some progress!--Kori

Thanks Flora! She is made of stone clay and gofun (which is oyster shell paste from Japan). She will be a 20" ball jointed doll when finished!

I love the doll and looking forward to seeing more updates. She will be stunning.

I have been interested in Gofun for quite a while, but havent found a source to purchase it. Do you mind sharing where you found it ?

Hi Kristen,
I appreciate your comments and interest! ;-)But, this is one thing I am not sharing, sorry! It was very difficult to find... I purchased several books from Japan and had them translated to learn the technique, and purchased the gofun, clay and my paint pigments from Japan...
I will post more pics of her as I continue work! Thanks again!--Kori
